Mae Hong Son is about an hour’s drive away and is home to some of the most impressive temples in Thailand, as well as some truly unique hill tribe settlements tucked away in the mountains and forests. On this stretch, keep an eye out for the Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu, located atop a mountain overlooking both sides of the valley below and offering magnificent views unlike anywhere else in the area! During your trip to the highlands of Northern Thailand, you should not miss the opportunity to visit Tham Lot Cave, which is located nearby and is a natural limestone cave with underground stalactite formations.
